Admin Backup and Restore

The ]project-open[ database regularly dumps all it's contents into a back-up directory.  The frequency and schedule of these database dumps is not currently configurable from within ]project-open[, rather it is controlled by OS.  In Linux systems this would be the cron daemon, and in Windows, scheduled processes.  

 

The back-up path is configurable, and the directory path can be set in the Parameters Admin Screen under "intranet-core" as BackupBasePathUnix.  The back-up admin page has two important functions:

  • New Backup - force a database dump right now.  This creates a new backup file instance.
  • Restore - restore the database using the contents of the selected back-up file.
