]po[ Full-Text Search Tables

The ]po[ Full-Text Search Engine allows searching all important ]po[ objects for key words, considering the application specific permissions for each object type.

The ]po[ FTI delivers results within fractions of seconds (and permissions filtered results in very few seconds) thanks to the use of the PostgreSQL Full-Text Search Index.

Maintains a list of the object types indexed. This table is different from acs_object_types, because the ]po[ FTI can index objects that are not instances of OpenACS object.

[im_search_objects]

Maintains a Full-Text Index for the text representation of every important object in ]po[. This table is kept up to date using triggers on each indexed object's tables.

[im_search_pg_file_biz_objects]

Auxillary table for indexing file storage files. The table maintains the date of the last update of each file storage file. This is necessary, because re-indexing file storage files is an expensive operation that can considerably slow down overall system performance.
