]po[ Reporting Tables

]po[ treats dynamic reports, [data-warehouse cubes] and performance indicators as objects. This allows using ]po[ general permissions.

Static reports (pieces of TCL code written manually) are not represented as report objects. Instead, a menu item is associated with each static report to control name, URL and permissions.­

Indicators represent a special type of report that return a single numeric value. These numeric values are stored over time, allowing to draw a "fiber chart" showing the historical development of the Key Performance Indicator. Indicators also specify warning and critical low- and high watermarks.

[Data-Warehouse Cubes] represent a special type of report based on ROLAP multidimensional storage. The multidimensional aggregates are stored in the im_reporting_cube_values table.

Dynamic Reports represent the super-class of all reporting objects. At the same time, it implements a basic "dynamic report" consisting mainly of a piece of SQL that is rendered as a HTML table.
