TS - Timesheet Mgmt

The Timesheet management module keeps track of the internal costs incurred by staff and employees, as opposed to external costs billed by freelancers, providers etc. functions which are handled by other modules/packages available in ]project-open[. In a project management environment, that is already operating under the umbrella of a corporate structure or company hierarchy, costs can be classified both vertically and horizontally:

Horizontal and vertical assignment of employee dedication.

Horizontal Cost Assignment:

Assigns costs to projects or subprojects
Allows to calculate the profitability of projects.

Vertical Cost Assignments:

Assignation of costs to departments, employee roles or project phases
Allows for example to analyze the weight of project phases within a project, for example the ration between development and testing in IT projects.
